BOOK REVIEW

This is my book review.

BOOK REVIEW:

BOOK ONE: SHIPWRECK
ISLAND BY GORDON KORMAN
This book was about :
Six kids. One shipwreck. One desert island!!
Six young teenagers that have discipline problems at home are sent on a sea voyage by a group designed to help troubled youths.  There is only a captain and a first mate to guide them to work as a crew of the sailboat.
Then a terrible storm hits.  The captain falls overboard and the first mate jumps in the dingy with all the food when the boat starts sinking.  The kids try to get the boat going again but it blows up.  Then they find a raft and land on a nearby island very tired and nearly dead.
That’s how the story ends. Will they survive??? Will they be rescued?? Will they run out of food???  If you want to know what happens next you have to read book 2: Survival!!

There is also a book 3 in the Series called Escape.

What I liked:

I liked that it had a lot of adventure in it and you didn’t know what was going to happen next.  The Author used interesting words to describe what was happening that I could relate to knowing this could happen in real life.

I would recommend this book for:

If you like adventures, and books on survival then this is certainly the book for you.  I really enjoyed it and would recommend it for ages 10+, as it is a serious adventure with some harder vocabulary.
